Getting that bod for summer!

Hello~

It seems I will never post regularly this will just be a fact of life 8'D (Maybe I should start vlogging instead? No clue)

Like so many gals right now I am looking at myself in the mirror not being 100% happy with what I'm seeing. Winter weight still has not melted off and what is worse I am back up to my old weight I fought so hard to lose! ;_; This makes me genuinely sad. Like REALLY. But instead of just sulking I'm giving myself a kick up the butt and starting the master cleanse (recipe below) so that I will be all nice and ready to embrace more clean, raw things into my diet after I'm done. The plan is to go on the cleanse, do baby food for a few days and then eat only raw, organic and low fat until dinner~ We will see how that goes, I'm going home in a few days and my mum makes just the best quinoa breakfast patties ;_;

The master cleanse is supposed to last anywhere from 3 to 10 days with no more than 10 days being done a year. I'm planning to initially do 3 days and see how I'm doing, if it will be fine I will extend to 5 days and then do the remaining 5 after Christmas haha. This IS a fasting cleanse, so really if you know you have any conditions that could worsen because of not eating do not even think of attempting this. It is something only healthy people should try and even the healthily active people are encouraged to limit their exercising because of the very low calorie intake. THIS IS A CLEANSE NOT A DIET!  This cleanse is supposed to get rid of all the (literal) shit out of your body. An average person has up to three days worth of food just chilling in their intestines, it's good to clean that out every now an then because of all the bacteria, fungus (yup, you've got that too) and nastyness accumulated over time. The cleanse consists of three main ingredients: lemons, maple syrup (organic, class B) and cayenne pepper.

The lemons provide vitamin C (or ascrobic acid) which is a very important anti oxidant, it takes active part in aiding your immune system and eliminates free radicals. Lemons themselves are awesome for your nails so don't throw away the used rinds straight away, rub your nails into it, it has hardening and whitening properties! <3

The maple syrup provides the needed glucose for energy, it is also a very good source of iron, calcium, zinc, manganese, potassium and sodium (sodium is not actually bad for you, you need it for the sodium-potassium pumps which are necessary for creating action potential along the nerve cells, so without sodium you'd have neurological issues, it's only the excess that's really bad for you as it can actually imbalance the mechanism). You should never swap the maple syrup for honey, because honey does not contain those minerals, it does have vitamins such as B6 and C, but the benefits are much lower. Maple syrup also contains plant fats, which are important in reducing your own fat and the calcium aids weight loss (I can make a detailed blog post about how does that work if anyone would be interested) so it genuinely is better than honey for this purpose. You REALLY shouldn't substitute the maple syrup for honey.

The cayenne pepper is there really only to boost your metabolism. Any peppers do that for a short period of time because of the increased Oxygen consumption they trigger through thermogenesis (that's why you sweat when eating spicy food ;p ), but cayenne pepper in particular has fibre and many vitamins such as vit A, E, B6, C and K.
In addition to these laxatives are to be taken in the evening to get your digestive system working, as no solids pass through for the duration of the cleanse.

People do claim that this cleanse has indeed lost them weight, but you need to remember that you are getting rid of all the weight from your intestines and the sugar and salt induced water weight. You may indeed burn some fat, but that is not the point of this and you should not extend this cleanse for longer than the recommended maximum 10 days a year. Doing that may in fact slow your metabolism down as a very low calorie intake triggers your body to go into starvation mode and conserve literally any energy (which means poor hair and nails, bad skin, feeling really lethargic and cold etc) and store anything that enters your body as fat, so if you carry on for too long and then start eating again you are in for one massive yo-yo effect. This cleanse is supposed to prepare you for a change in eating habits, you get rid of all the shit out of your body and swap it for organic, clean foods which are good for you. A good way to ease yourself out of the cleanse would be baby food as it is all natural and unspiced, clean and healthy and comes in handy 80kcal portions in many flavours <3 If babies can eat it, you will be fine ;p

Remember: Food= Energy. Energy= Life this is a cleanse NOT a diet.

Here is the recipe and some nutritional facts <3

To prepare a day's worth of lemonade, 8 glasses (Do not drink any less than that, or you will feel utterly shitastic because of lack of calories, however you may wish to drink up to 12 glasses)

Juice of 4 lemons (around 48 kcal)
8-16 tablespoons of grade B maple syrup (around 416- 832 kcal)
1-2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper (around 5-11 kcal)
2 liters of water (0 kcal)

Water can be hot or cold. Please adjust amounts to taste and to suit the amount of calories you feel you need. On my first day I'm going with the higher amounts just to ease myself in a bit.

I will be posting a few gal thinspo pics with the summer bod posts to keep myself and anyone who is reading motivated~

And some a bit less summery, but still to die for~ ~ ~

So you packed like the last idiot...

Hey there!~

I am never going to get consistent with blog posts it seems... I seriously make them and edit photos and stuff and I never make the posts D8 Always a bit worried it's irrelevant and stuff... _^_ Oh whatever.
This one is a post I was thinking of creating for some time now, as I feel I could have done with something like this last year 8'3 I study and live in the UK and for over a year and a half already my parents have been living in Poland, which makes some stuff more difficult, like for example packing to accommodate everything I plan on doing and things I know are unlikely to happen but might (so less prioritised in the packing process) and things that will definitely happen (so I pack that for sure) but then in the middle of that plannig you always forget something. Or just something unexpected may happen... And all of that packing and you feel like an idiot who came unprepared 8'D

Well...

So I wanted to show you what do I do makeup-wise 8'3

My makeup bag is rather small because I only ever travel with hand luggage (I'm cheap like that ;p) and send the rest of my stuff over via a courier. It means I should in theory have everything, but then the things I send over I send in advance so it would mean I would not have them on hand at home and it does not always fit in this little baby...

These are the things I took with me this time:

-Lancome Tient Visionnaire foundation with concealer (which is great because I don't have to carry two products)

- Benefit Erase Paste (for foundation-free days plus highlighting)

- Rimmel Stay Matte translucent powder (I really need to get something better...)

-Lancome Color Idear Poudre pressed powder (works wonders on it's own and on top of a foundation)

-Bourjois blushers in pink and orange ( blushers make a BIG difference have a few options on hand!)

-M.A.C Cream Colour Base (funny I brought that but not eyeshadow.... _^_' but it works super well as a highlighter too! )

-Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara (Best mascara I have ever used!)

-L' Oreal glitter top coat mascara (Thought it would be cute for xmas... DUD :/ )

-Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Liner ( not my favourite I packed it by accident really...)

-Rimmer Professional Brow Pencil ( lovely and cheap product~ )

-Selection of pink, red and nude lipsticks (I am not going to go into detail on that one as everyone is looking for different things in their lipstick I just think these 3 colours are essential because they create such different looks just b switching up the lippy~ )

-Circle lenses (In this case my Geo Medical in Magic Brown. More natural lenses will allow for a wider variety of looks)

-selection of random brushes that I actually had in a separate folder ;p

I did not pack any eye colours, eyelashes, glue, primer, face creams, no bronzer, no contour no proper highlighter... FAIL...

I did get given some things and my mom uses makeup so I was set eyeshadow and bronzer-wise but my biggest drama was over fake lashes :/

Mom's stash X3

Poland is not some third world country some people like to believe, but certain fashions just do not get here and fake lashes are one of them (do not even think of finding LOWER lashes...) I have walked around every drug store I could find and NO lashes... I checked online and the only thing I could find were 2 not so great pairs by Bourjois. I know its a bit of a stupid first world problem, but when I wanted to gal-up it was an issue :/ I managed to find, by recommendation of one of my Polish friends, a brand I haven't tried before but I have heard nice things about. INGLOT. Their lashes are not stricte gyaru or anything really but they are really cute and they don't cost that much (I got mine on sale so I only paid around £1 for them hahah 8'D )

They are brown, which is new to me, but they look really cute when on.

I got these for dance competitions X'D They have sparklies on the ends *o*

I am rather impressed with the quality, they feel very light on my eyes and all so that is a really big plus <3

But then let's get onto hair...

My mom cut her hair not long ago so when she was planning to get some styling tools a few months back (which I was counting on lol ) now there is no point with a pixie cut haha.

My hair is smooth, straight, heavy and does SOD ALL when it comes to looking anything but flat and straight...
I kinda deal with it by adding texture by braiding I just spend a day or two with my hair in a braid and then it gets wavy-kinky and voluminous. Still not exactly what I need but it has to do.

With all these set backs this time the only gyaru looks I could go for were casual... But here is my best with what I had X'D (Please excuse the awful skin ;n; I left all of my skincare back in the UK because it's over 100 ml ;n; )

Just moisturiser

war paint X'D

Contouring and highlighting~

Eyeshadow, brows and blush <3

Eye shape and mascara

Fake lashes and lipstick

Finished  ~<3

So yeah. By applying heavier brown eyeshadow that matches the brown lashes I tried to make up for lack of lower lashes 8'3 And I contoured with a matte brown eyeshadow _^_ Ouch. I think that as long as enough depth is made the look will still be gyaru, just as I said, rather casual 8'3

I had to go with glasses because I'm allergic to something around here (I suspect mom's love of indoor plants is killing me ;n; ) and my eyes just rejected lenses in a teary mess...

And obv casual meant bear hoodie dress ;p

Oh dear... That was a long and post-less summer. I enjoyed myself very much but with excavating for a month (ERMAHGERD WE FOUND A TEMPLE AND SHIT BUT I CAN'T SAY MORE UNTIL THE RESEARCH IS PUBLISHED ERMAHGERD!!!) and being at home with my parents for another month away from the community I had literally no opportunities to wear gal whatsoever... I did ulzzang up a few times, but that doesn't count as it is my basic look X'D AAAAAANYWAY.

About a week or so ago I ordered some lenses from https://www.pinkyparadise.com/ and they arrived today!!! Literally best thing ever after a tiring day at uni <3

The package was nice and secure in a bubble-wrap envelope and wrapped in extra layers of cute pink foam X3 I also got two adorable animal cases the elephant is so cute omg!!!

The best thing- they actually had my prescription X'D (I'm not that blind, but it's nice to be able to read the signs...)

Here are the lenses I ordered. Geo Medical in Magic Brown and Princess Pinky in Twilight Blue. I really like both sets as they are only 14.2 so very wearable and the brown ones blend in with my eyes so well! The blue ones I may have chosen to be a little too pale I think... I really like the colour, but my flatmates agreed I look reptilian in them X'D Oh well, hunting for the perfect blue!

Obviously because I got new lenses I had to try out some makeup looks to go with them, duh. So here are my gyaru makeup transformations X3 Pity I had to take the photos at night but I really wanted to have this post up by today, but the lenses had to soak for a bit, so excuse the yellow tone.

No makeup, no lenses.

Brown lenses process.

Just the eyes.

Finished look. I rather like it it is quite casual. As for the lenses they were comfortable to put in and felt natural in my eyes.

Blue lenses process. (I decided to blend a little after I added the lashes)

Just the eyes

Finished look. This one is more sparkly and special I think, I would wear it out X3 These lenses are from a company I have not tried before but they are also very comfortable and were not a problem to put in <3

For a contrast this is my usual uni look. Quite different X'D

I much prefer my new Geo Magic Brown to my old Geo Super Angel. The size suits my eye shape more and they are easier to put in and get out. Also the warmer tone of brown looks more natural.

Overall I am very happy about the purchase, the products are lovely and the service I have received from Pinky Paradise was great. I was informed about the progress of my package, the shipping options allowed me to get one fast, but not too expensive and I felt like the product was definitely packaged well. Watch out PP crew, I'm on the hunt for more blues and maybe some green planos to go with my glasses ;p

BTW My dream Vs broke ;n; The black backing broke and fell off... I noticed after I came back from my bday... I need them fixed ._.

Mini Shopping Meet~

On Moday I had my technically first Gyaru meet xxx

I saw the lovely Laura and we run around some shops in Nottingham and a lot of fun trying makeup on X'D
IT IS HELL TRYING TO FIND A BABY PINK LIPSTICK THAT DOESN'T MAKE US LOOK ODD!!! Lush had some but I need to really think about spending £14 on something I don't consider brand...
Makes me a bit sad, as this may be the only product out there for me ;n; HAHA

Here are some snaps from Starbucks and one from the very end of our day x
AHH we need to do this again soon~ !

Her outfit was so absolutely cute <3 I can't get over how cool the tights are! The Agejo Hime must be one of the best casual yet statement looks and Laura looked EPIC x

I tried my usual Ulzzang fusion this time with Himekaji <3

xxx~

Btw no post from the expo it seems X'D I am suffering from a serious case of flu and cba _^_
Next time mayyyyybe my makeup bag but I am going to Crete for a month for excavations and then immediately after (literally 5 days haha) I am going to Poland for another month... I hope to write something but I do not see much opportunity for gyaru while digging up prehistoric soil nor around my grandparents 8'D

Well... See you ;p

Dream V triple bow shoes unpacking and review ~

Oh by the gods these were supposed to arrive BEFORE the MCM Expo... Well they would have if not customs... ANYWAY! Here are my lovelies ;u; I have ordered them in pale pink, size LL and being a UK 7 and EU 40/41 they fit perfectly and look absolutely stunning! I am very happy with my purchase.
This particular pair was bought from Rakuten, where I pain £25 including postage for them. I have noticed some facebook sites charging more for Dream V shoes. Don't let Yourself be ripped off Gals!

So, here it comes:

The box was a bit big so I was worried they gave me a wrong pair and they will end up being boots or something 8'3

Fortunately it was all a safety measure so the box the shoes were in would not get damaged xxx

Here is the lovely Dream V box xxx And some flyers from Rakuten that I will never be able to understand~

The shoes came both packaged each one in a separate bag so that they would not rub against one another or get dusty, which is brilliant, because now I can store them safely <3

The shoes themselves are awesome! They look exactly like on the photos online, they look sturdy and feel very well made x

Another great feature is the heart buckle, which can be adjusted to fit the foot and the little button closing is very useful as the strap will not get worn from constant buckling and unbuckling and makes the shoes easier to put on <3

Overall I am very very pleased. The shoes are cute and compared to other brands like An*tai*na I would say present themselves as better made <3 The only worrying thing is the heel, which is made of plastic, but so far I have not heard any horror stories about someones shoes breaking mid-use so I'd assume they must be strong enough 8'3

Post from the expo soon~

Thanks for stopping by <3
